Silica Gel Desiccant is manufactured from a high silica based mineral which is commonly used for moisture absorption. Typically silica gel desiccant has a moisture absorption capacity of 28% of its weight. There are some basic steps that can be taken to prevent the corrosion of metal surfaces and also mould growth in organic matter such as agricultural produce, food, herbal extracts and medicines, and also synthetic compounds such as pharmaceutical compounds.
